Regular physical activity is essential for controlling your blood glucose and managing your weight. When activity is correctly prescribed, your body can respond well to insulin and your muscles will take more glucose out of the bloodstream.

The right exercises take into consideration blood pressure, cholesterol, healthy weight management and what you are able and committed to achieving. We have a thorough knowledge of diabetes and can advise on when activity is best, with consideration to your health, medication and monitoring key diet recommendations.

Synapse have worked with Dietitians, GPs and other allied health professionals, such as podiatrists, to assist clients to safely and effectively manage diabetes and also with clients to prevent the risk of developing diabetes.

If you have a Chronic Disease Management plan with your GP for Type II Diabetes, you may be entitled to up to 8 additional group exercise physiology services within each calendar year.
